T-Shirt Styles, Quality and Construction
All of our shirts are made with 100 percent cotton. Most of the shirts are constructed similarly, however the may come various shirt manufactures such as Hanes, AAA and possibly even American Apparel. Most cuts are the traditional male style form. However we do sell shirts designed for women - many styles of shirts come in Baby Tees. These tend to be a slimmer fit.
Hemp T-Shirts
Some shirts in the near future may come in a blend of hemp and cotton. For some reason, the United States will not allow shirts to be constructed of 100% hemp. It might have something to do with protecting the cotton farmers. Apparently this is really stupid because hemp uses less water to grow, it's a stronger material and it doesn't need a lot of fertilizers and pesticides. It's a wonder crop from everything we have heard. Check out the company called the Satori Movement for quality hemp clothing. They make more than t-shirts. They also make skateboard wheels, beanies, womens and mens clothing using earth consciouss, eco friendly clothing materials.
Band and Musician Licensing
All band and musician shirts are officially licensed and are authenic graphic reproductions of the respective group's artwork.
T-Shirt Care
Most shirts are screen printed and have a decent life time. Always wash your t-shirt on gentle cycle and hang dry if possible. This will extend the life of your tee for several years. If you prefer to machine dry your shirt in a dryer, the be sure to set your dryer to gentle and low heat. If you really want to keep the shirt around for a long time then gently hand wash your shirt in cold water.
Other Washing Considerations
When machine washing tee-shirts, consider washing them alone. Other clothing garmets such as jeans, jackets and clothing with metallic parts can cause abrasion on the shirt, lessening the life of the tee. Even the type of washer and dryer can be more rough on a shirt oppose to another model or brand.
Classic Rock T-Shirts
The majority of t-shirts we carry fall under the category of classic rock. This most likely because of the fact that classic rock bands have had a longer marketing presence than almost any other genre of music. Now I will go through some of the classic rock shirts we carry. Starting all the way to the 1950s we carry Elvis Presley t-shirts. Moving on the 1960s and the British Invasion we have: The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and The Who. For more the flower power generation we have Bob Dylan, The Doors, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix. For more of the harder vintage sound there is: Aerosmith, ACDC, Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Motorhead. And then for the down home Alabama types you got yur Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Eagles. We finish off the list with Meatloaf, Queen, Rush, Santana, Boston and Eric Clapton because they are beyond classification.
Hip Hop T-Shirts
One of the most hated genres of music that blasted out of the 1980s and made a permanent mark on international music listeners. Although the most known hip hop usually deals with dark, evil and real content, 90% of hip hop reflects a more positive and activist style attitude - proving that it may be the only "awake" genre of music currently be distributed. Since a lot fo hip hop groups don't trust music label and tend to create their own business and distribution about themselves it's hard to find hip hop shirts. Therefore most of your selection is main stream at this time. For instance we carry Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac shirts. Suprising we also have A Tribe Called Quest (a personal favorite) in stock. We aslo have 50 cent, the Beastie Boys, Insane Clown Posse, D12 and Eminem. No one will ever forget NWA - got those tees in too. What else? I guess that does it for Hip Hop tees.
Reggae T-Shirts
I think the most popular shirt out there is a Bob Marley t-shirt. No one artist has influences more people around the world than the late Robert Marley. From Nepal to New York City, Bob Marley fans around the world rock t-shirts commemorating this reggae legend. But Bob isn't the only reggae shirt we carry. We also carry Matisyahu shirts and soon we should have Peter Tosh tees and perhaps some Gregory Isaacs.
Punk T-Shirts
Well the most punk way to do the tee-shirt thing is to make your own shirt. Just buy a blank tee, make a stencil or just go at it with a permanent marker. Real punk bands don't care if you insist on performing copyright infringement. So go for it! Now if you are lazy like am and just want to buy your punk shirts - here is the selection we have: Dead Kennedys, AFI, Bad Religion, The Clash, Flogging Molly, Misfits, NOFX, Offspring, and the Sex Pistols.
